Development of Renewable Energy Projects in South East Asia

CWP Energy Asia is developing a portfolio of wind farm projects in Indonesia in partnership with various entities, including WHyPGen-BPPT. CWPEA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in December 2014 to co-develop approximately 300 MW of wind energy projects with WHyPGen-BPPT across the islands of Java, Lombok and Sulawesi.

CWPEA is currently in the process of evaluating a further 800 MW of potential wind farm sites across Indonesia and building a strong local team based in Jakarta to support our development goals.

CWP Energy Asia has been undertaking market and projects due diligence in the Philippines for both wind and solar technologies since late 2014. CWPEA will be partnering with local developers to provide technical and commercial guidance to bring wind and solar projects to financial close.

CWPEA Project Development Strategy & Philosophy

Project Screening & Analysis

We undertake a detailed market due diligence exercise to identify investment and partnership opportunities which achieve our long-term objectives as a successful renewable energy developer.

Community Engagement

Recognising the need for greater consultation with partners we develop projects in collaboration with our local communities and various stakeholders to gain a strong local social license to operate.

Bankability & Financing

Working together with our equity partners, Lenders, IFIs and ECAs we aim to develop projects with secured long-term PPAs which are bankable and have minimal risk to investors.
